The Solvents are J arrod Paul Bramson - guitar, drums, organ, bass, vocals, piano, production – and Emily Madden - violin, cello, vocals.

I don’t know how I met Jarrod Bramson, through which review where, I think maybe it was on Splendidezine, I contacted him, reviewed his two cdr’s on my webzine derives.net and enjoyed them very much. He is for me the kind of living idea of what lo-fi folk songwriting should always be, full of faith and sensitivity, following his own lines instead of walking in those of great icons, talking to your inner parts, bringing the songs of everyday love. He is here now, on Sundays in Spring, sharing a few songs, still under auto production so far, - real labels where are you? – walking the streets of USA and Europe for a few shows.

These are his influences I cut and past from his MySpace page:

The early morning time when you are laying with the one you love. You need to get up and go to work but your bodies wont separate. You look out the window and the trees are moving. Somehow the world seems perfect. Or your world seems perfect. You both get up and get in the car. Its cold. She is beautiful. Its funny when she tries not to show how hard mornings can be. She really is beautiful. You get to her work. She is late so you help her get set up. She makes coffee and you laugh at the thought of being in this kitchen so early. After all, you don’t even work here. She is thankful that you stayed and help. Alone, together in some kitchen...early.
