The first impression that comes to mind while listening to Loobke's music is depth. Not sadness or melancholy but something that you build from broken relations, personal experiments. The remains of these emotions in our memory will last our whole life. Joy, pain, bitterness, as old as our bones, as intimate as our souls.

Loobke's songs talk to your inner life and there is so much beauty, grace inside. We can talk about Bjork, we can talk about Laurie Anderson, we can talk about Piano Magic, we can talk about Tara Jane O'Neil, but from now on let's simply talk about Loobke.

ps: for your information Lobke d'Hespeel plays also in Raymondo and Mote. She also played with 1m54 and Gush and she is associated to the Belgian indie scene from Brugge. Remember Studio Muscle, Toothpick, De Portables, Kraak, Wio, Köhn and so on.
